American Alaunt Dog |
In the past, the American Allaunt was a breed used for guarding and hunting, with the ability to catch and hold its prey. Since it has been extinct for centuries, its origins and demise have been lost forever. Now and in the future, the American Allaunt is above all a highly intelligent family dog, able and willing to perform a variety of tasks, such as hunting, protection, weight and other competitive sports. The American Allauntt should present an imposing first impression!!! This is a large, muscular breed with extreme power, speed and agility. The American Allaunt will do well in an apartment if sufficiently exercised. As he'll be relatively inactive indoors, it would be best if he could have a medium-sized yard. Ideally, he should go for a long walk every day. The short, hard coat is easy to groom. Comb and brush with a firm bristle brush and bathe only when necessary. This breed is a medium excretor. Height at withers for males between 66 and 74 centimeters and for females between 61 and 69 centimeters. Weight: 45 to 68 kilos for males and 41 to 59 kilos for females. |
