Maintenance of the Dachsi Apso
|
Although the Lhassa Apso is considered a hypoallergenic breed, it's not known whether the Dachsi Apso would inherit the same characteristics. Loss levels in this breed are considered moderate and will require daily brushing with the slicker or pin brush. This small breed is not considered a drooler and has no significant odors. Its coat may need professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to avoid tangles. Nails should be trimmed every 2 to 3 weeks. Ears should be wiped and cleaned weekly to prevent debris build-up. Teeth should be brushed regularly to prevent tartar build-up, especially as small dogs are prone to dental problems. |
