A female Labrador Retriever and a male Chihuahua come together to create the unique Labrahuahua. These dogs will be medium-sized, with bodies and facial features similar to those of the parent breeds. They will be loyal and intelligent, like their parents, and should get along well with people of all ages. Give these dogs plenty of exercise and lots of cuddle time, and they'll be happy living in any environment. They are excellent pets that should be easy to care for and will be part of your life for around 10 to 15 years.

History of the Labrahuahua

The Labrahuahua is one of the more recent dog breed hybrids. They are created from a Labrador Retriever and a Chihuahua, making them a special type of designer breed. Due to the size difference between the two parents, these dogs cannot be bred naturally. Instead, the genetic material of a male Chihuahua must be inseminated into a female Labrador Retriever. A female Chihuahua cannot give birth to Labrador Retriever mixes, as the large size of the puppies can be dangerous.

	The Labrador Retriever was formerly known as the St. John's Dog and is now one of the largest and best-known dog breeds in the United States. They originated in Newfoundland, where they helped fishermen by retrieving fish or pulling nets. In the 1800s, ships from England brought some of these dogs back to Labrador. There, they would be bred with other types of Retrievers, Setters and Spaniels, which modified and improved their hunting skills.

	The Chihuahua, the world's smallest breed and the oldest on the American continent, originated in Mexico. This place of origin is where they were named after the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The breeds used to create these dogs are unknown, but many believe that the Fennec Fox is part of their ancestry. These little dogs were brought to Europe at the end of the 19th century. The upper classes were very fond of the breed and they were quite common in these households. The Chihuahua was also considered sacred among pre-Columbian Indian nations.

Because the Chihuahua and Labrador Retriever are so different in stature, the size of their offspring can also vary. They are generally medium-sized dogs with athletic bodies. Legs are strong and chests are broad. They have long tails and muzzles that are not as wide as their heads. These dogs have round eyes and ears that may be straight and triangular or have overlapping tips. In most cases, designer dogs adopt the facial features of one parent breed and the body type of the other. In the case of the Labrahuahua, some puppies may have the body type of a Labrador and the facial features of a Chihuahua, while others will have the opposite. The Labrador Retriever and Chihuahua have moderate levels of shedding, so chances are the Labrahuahua will be the same. If the coat is short, there will logically be less work to maintain than if the fur is longer. These dogs need to be brushed regularly and bathed if necessary.
