| One day we lost our adorable Epagneul Picard, rescued from the road in the days of vivisection. He was all dirty, practically toothless, but incredibly gentle. We swore we'd never have another dog, and then one day Mum called me and said, “Mimi, come on, I've got something for you”. And there you were, a tiny, round, black ball of fur barely 3 months old. I took you in my arms, but at that moment, at that very moment, I didn't know that you would give me all the love, tenderness, loyalty, hope when I wasn't feeling well, kisses again and again, for 13 beautiful but all-too-short years. Then, on the night of March 27 to 28, 2010, everything stopped and I lost you forever, never to recover. How can I forget someone as wonderful as you, as tender and full of love as you were. I'll never have another companion because you were my whole life and the day I lost you I ceased to exist, I don't live, I survive and believe me it's not easy without you by my side, I miss you my sweet love. I love you and will love you until the end of time, until the day of our reunion, which will be the most beautiful, we both know it, one day we'll be one. Farewell my beautiful and tender love, I love you MAYA. |
