In tribute to

To our Mambo

Thanks to

Lydia

To our Mambo, a heart with hair around it.

Mambo came into our lives in January 1997 at 2 months old.

He was supposed to console us when Crapule, another Briard love, left for Paradise.

We had 11 years of pure happiness with Mambo (despite his dysplasia and two major hip operations).

He was intelligent, mischievous, very handsome, a little stubborn too (he wouldn't be a Briard otherwise)...

At the age of 11, he was still beautiful and in great shape, but died within an hour on January 3, 2008.

The vet diagnosed a state of shock: either a ruptured aneurysm or a heart attack.

Unfortunately, it happened on the eve of my birthday (the poor thing didn't choose) and we spent the day of my birthday burying him.

We loved him dearly and he was precious to me.

I could write a whole book about him.

Now I have to get used to living without him, it's been 3 months and I can't, I know it will get better, it just takes time.
