General appearance |
Small, delicate-looking dog with a straight profile. |
Behaviour / temperament |
Extremely lively, very nervous, barker. An excellent house guardian, alert at the slightest warning. Great rat and rabbit hunter, very agile and fast. |

The axes of the skull and muzzle are parallel. The frontonasal depression is well-defined and forms a right angle with the axes of the skull and muzzle. The skull is rounded, domed and broad, the muzzle narrow. The masseter muscles are well defined. |

Mainly black and tan. There is a certain diversity of colors, depending on the proportion of black to tan and the shade of fawn, which can be cinnamon. White may also be present in varying proportions, from a small star on the chest to an almost entirely white coat (with black and tan only on the head). It can also be brown and tan, but this is not very common. |

Height at the withers is 38 cm for the male and 33 cm for the female. Male length is less than height; female length is equal to or slightly greater than height. |
