In tribute to

Groseille, the brave little mother

Thanks to

Clornide

Groseille, a little Bearded girl, came to us in April 1991 to try to get her master to fight a serious disease...

Perhaps this baby would encourage him to face up to the treatments...

After much hardship, the disease was overcome and the three of us were able to get on with our lives, forming an inseparable trio.

Everything was in rhythm between the three of us...

Groseille was always there, following us, understanding us...

A single glance, never a word too loud...

When I was stricken by illness, she accompanied me as I relearned to walk...

Always patient and supportive...

And then life went on, between the three of us...

And then, in August 2000, came the terrible news:
Groseille had been diagnosed with "chronic renal failure"...

A disease you never see coming, with no way back...

For over a year, "little mother courage" struggled on without complaint or pain...

The vets told us that, with her urea and creatinine levels, she should have left a long time ago, but that she obviously didn't want to give up on us...

We looked after her daily well-being and her rhythm...

And then the horror.

On November 05, 2001, we had to pick her up and take her to her last appointment...

She was valiant and calm to the end...

In my arms, she faded away and our path was broken...

Since then, I've lived constantly with Groseille in my head and my heart, and no day that passes can ease my pain...

Groseille, you know, life is very difficult without you...

Everything has changed and I miss our trio forever.
