| A farewell letter to my little dog Vinny. My sweet little furry one, you lit up my life, you left one summer morning, the sun shining on your satiny fur, and you never came back, my heart stopped beating, I feel completely lost. The house is empty without you, pretty little animal, even Cooky is sad, he no longer has his tender companion who used to say hello to him with his velvet tongue. Every morning, as soon as I woke up, you'd come to my feet to be stroked. I'd take you in my arms, hugging you tenderly and kissing you like a little child, Then you'd trot along after me to say hello to your daddy, and on his bed you'd cavort, your little tail wagging and amusing us all. You were so funny with your playful little bottom looking at us out of the corner of your eye, it brings tears to my eyes to think of it. I like to hope that you're with Maxou playing with the stars and that you're waiting for me with Ornella, Cachou and our dearest Gaston in the land of happy animals where there are no more tears in the eyes. You'll always be in my heart, my little playful dog. Unlike humans, you only feel sorry for an animal when it's gone. |
