My Tommy, my big dog, it's only a few hours since I petted you for the last time.

A devastating illness has taken you from us.

You were six years old on December 25, 2008.

Strong and gentle, with the look of an eternal baby dog.

You were full of love, with no nagging or aggression, and you approached people as you did other animals.

Despite the epileptic seizures that sometimes plagued your life, we've come a long way together, my friend, and we'll miss you dearly.

Thank you for everything you gave me, my Tom, my gentleness, my love.

May you be at peace forever, free from your suffering and free, your big ears in the wind as I loved to see you run.
