In tribute to Little PunkyThanks to Pamela |
5 years ago, I went to visit some people I hardly knew, and you were there with your brother, running around, and you came to see me. You were ugly because you were all wet and you looked like an ostrich, but something happened, I liked you right away and I took you home with me when you were 2 months old. I called you Punky because you had a crest on your head, you looked like a little punk. Everyone who saw you laughed, but I loved you just the way you were. You filled a big void because at that time my parents and brothers had moved to Mayotte and I was left without a family. You were always there, following me everywhere, even annoying at times because you were at my feet. But today I miss you enormously, because on Saturday December 10, 2008 you left forever, hit by someone who didn't see fit to stop. I beg your forgiveness because if I'd brought you home earlier, you would have crossed the road with the care you were accustomed to, and not without a look because you heard me calling you. I picked you up, you were so warm and I held you close to me, but it was already too late and I've been crying ever since, I miss you so much. You were the best little dog, the sweetest and most affectionate, always ready to play, to be a fool, you loved it when I threw a stone at you and you never brought it back. I hope you're happy where you are, because you really deserve it. I've buried you in the garden, so that you're still close to me, I'll never forget you, I love you my Punky, my little baby dog and I'll always love you. |
