In tribute to

To our little Melba, my Chihuahua

Thanks to

Mom, Dad and Emily

Melba, a little star came into my life on June 18, 1996.

You were my Comet of Happiness, my most beautiful love, my little baby.

That cursed Cushing's disease got the better of you.

It ate away all your muscles.

On June 6, 2007, you lost the battle for which you had fought for 16 months, never leaving us because our love for each other was so strong.

I'll never forget that cursed day when I had to make the most terrible decision of my life, not to let you suffer any longer after 23 days of perfusion.

Your veterinarian friend cried as he gently put you to sleep in our home, surrounded by your loved ones and your little Chipie, who has been very sick since you left.

Melba, my little love, I entrust you to Orlane, who passed away too soon on July 20, 2006, and who will welcome you to her white Paradise of the Toutous, where she will once again be able to give you lots of kisses as she used to do so well.

At night, in the sky, your two stars shine to give us a little cuckoo of love.

Melba, my darling, you've gone to join Scotty, Angélique, Anouchka and Orlane.

Despite our immense sorrow, we know that in the Paradise of the Doggies, pain doesn't exist, for us on this earth, it does.

Farewell Melba darling, 11 years of happiness are gone and thank you for your great love and courage.

Your little urn rests next to Orlane's.

We will always love you.

Melba: Wednesday 28 February 1996 - Wednesday 6 June 2007
