In tribute to To our little HuskyThanks to Florence |
His name was Husky, but don't get me wrong, he was a Yorkshire. He was born on December 26, 1992, the year of the H's, and I like the Husky breed. I got him from a family who live in Béziers, but I didn't know how to get him to the Côte d'Or in the right conditions. It was out of the question for him to travel in the back of a truck in February. I had the idea of putting an advert in a trucker restaurant, and one of them contacted me. Everything was organized: contact with the family, the day, the time. And the trucker picked up the dog at the toll booth in Béziers, took care of him in his warm cabin and handed him over to me in Châtillon-sur-Seine. You made us and our children happy for 14 1/2 years. That's still too short. We lived in an apartment and in 2004 we bought a house for your retirement, as we used to say. You enjoyed it for almost 3 years anyway. A garden, walks in the countryside. But your heart wasn't doing its job any more, your health deteriorated, and you had to make several visits to the vet to put off the inevitable. You developed edema and died on the night of June 1 to 2, 2007. So much sadness, so many tears. You leave a great void. We'll never forget you, and you'll always be with us in the garden. We hug you and thank you for everything you brought us, my beloved little Husky, whom I also called Zouzou and you recognized. |
