The uveitis

Dogs' eyes are often put to the test by their own activities: bramble bites, shocks, mechanical irritation, scratching and fighting.

The eye is a fragile organ, and it's important to regularly check that it's in good condition.

Check the color of the white of the eye: normally, fine red vessels snake across the white conjunctiva; sometimes, especially in older dogs, brown spots can be seen. If, on the other hand, the conjunctiva is red and the vessels are very visible, a veterinarian should be consulted as soon as possible.

Check that the dog's eye is open properly: sometimes the animal's discomfort forces it to close its eye, which in this case is often watery. Once again, a veterinarian should be consulted as soon as possible.

And of course, in the event of injury, the dog should be examined as soon as possible.

Trauma to the eye often looks very impressive, but if treated quickly and correctly, it heals very well. In the event of an eye problem, it's very important to act quickly.
