A brief presentation of the Olde Double Bully
Your Olde Double Bully will be a fun combination of the cute English Bulldog and the dapper Olde English Bulldog. The Olde English Bulldog looks fierce and menacing, although it's actually the opposite. The Olde Double Bully will be gentle, friendly and affectionate towards its humans. While the Olde Double Bully will have lots of energy as a puppy, it will be calm as an adult. A dog of this breed will do well with children, showing patience and tolerance. As an adult, the Bully will enjoy spending time with you and getting in on the action, rather than participating. The Olde Double Bully will be muscular and big-boned, while retaining its athleticism. A dog of this breed will be outgoing, yet vigilant and protective of its people. A little of the English Bulldog

         
The English Bulldog is a descendant of the ancient Mastiffs that came to Europe from parts of Asia when they were brought by nomads. The Mastiff was refined over the years during breeding, resulting in the modern English Bulldog. The English Bulldog was used to bait bulls, with the dog staying low to the ground and clenching its teeth on the bull's nose. Because of the shape of the dog's nose, it could breathe while holding the bull, which is how the dog earned the name “Bulldog”. This ferocious sport injured or killed many dogs until it was banned in England in 1835. At the time, the breed's dogs were very aggressive, so efforts were made in breeding to develop a milder English Bulldog. The modern English Bulldog is now known to be gentle and affectionate.

A little of the Olde English Bulldogge
This history of the Olde English Bulldogge originated in England between 1600 and 1700, and these dogs were the ancestors of a number of today's Bulldog breeds, such as the English Bulldog and the American Bulldog. The Olde English Bulldogge was also bred for bull baiting and was used in sport until laws were passed banning the sport. This led to a significant decline in the breed until it was decided to rebuild the breed, toning down the aggression of the original Olde English Bulldogge. The remaining dogs of the breed were crossed with the Pug, leading to the development of the modern English Bulldog. Today's Olde English Bulldogge is a reconstructed version of the original Olde Bulldogge seen in the 17th and 18th centuries, developed by genetic cross-breeding to achieve this goal. Today's Olde English Bulldogge shares the genes of the English Bulldog, the American Bulldog, the American Pit Bull Terrier and the Mastiff.

Maintenance of the Olde Double Bully
The Olde Double Bully will be easy to care for, its short hair should be brushed once a week with a firm bristle brush and its face should be wiped daily with a damp cloth. You'll want to be sure to wipe the folds of his skin to remove debris and ensure there are no inflammations, sores or parasites present. Once wiped, the folds should be dried.
