| The Miniboz is a small breed hybrid that is a specific cross between the Miniature Schnauzer and the Boston Terrier. These cheerful hybrids are thought to have originated in the USA in the 2000s. The Miniboz is a friendly hybrid with a shaggy, stiff coat and prominent beard. They are affectionate companions who don't require much exercise apart from a few short walks and plenty of playtime. Miniboz are easy to train and do well in all environments, including family homes and apartments. These dogs are well suited to new owners. |
History of the Miniboz |
| The history of most designer hybrids remains rather mysterious. However, the curious and fun-loving Miniboz is currently recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club, the Designer Breed Registry, the Designer Dogs Kennel Club, the Dog Registry of America and the International Designer Canine Registry. Based on its recognition by American clubs, we can assume that this designer breed originated in the USA. The Miniboz shares its lineage with the brave Boston Terrier and the courageous Miniature Schnauzer. |

| The Miniature Schnauzer is a breed that can be traced back to northern and central Germany. The breed was originally created in the 1800s by two Schnauzer and Affenpinscher enthusiasts who crossed the standard Schnauzer with the Affenpinscher, resulting in the modern Miniature Schnauzer. The Miniature Schnauzer was bred for the sole purpose of hunting vermin and protecting the herd, however, today they are mainly considered pets. | ||

| Nothing describes the Miniboz better than a shaggy little dog with lots of personality. These designer dogs often appear to have a short muzzle and rounded head. Their jaws are quite powerful and they can inherit an underbite that is common in the Boston Terrier breed. Miniboz are not as heavy as Miniature Schnauzers, and most tend to have long, slender legs and muscular bodies. As for their coat, the Miniboz is likely to be adorned with a short, stiff coat where most of the hair is scattered around the ear and muzzle areas. They often inherit the “grandfather” beard commonly seen on Miniature Schnauzers. The color of the Miniboz's coat can often vary from gray to brindle and brown. The Miniboz tends to be bicolored or tricolored with white markings around the chest as opposed to a single solid color. |

Because of their adorable personalities, Miniboz often do quite well with children and other pets, a trait they can inherit from their parent breed, the Boston Terrier. However, bear in mind that not all Miniboz hybrids tolerate children, and it's essential never to leave a child or other pet unsupervised. When you meet a stranger in your home, your Miniboz won't be possessive of you. Instead, they may approach the visitor or play with them. For the most part, the Miniboz is a friendly dog, easy to train and quite adaptable. Owners who choose to introduce a Miniboz into their lives should be prepared to invest a lot of money in toys. These hybrids love all kinds of toys and can enjoy destroying them. The Miniboz is also a social butterfly, so they'll thrive in environments where they have other dogs to play with. Taking them to dog parks or play parks will be a great way to stimulate them mentally. Miniboz are a calm, adaptable breed, so they'll fit in well in all types of household, including apartments. |

| If you're looking for a low shedding, possibly hypoallergenic dog, then the Miniboz is for you. These guys have short, stiff coats that don't require much grooming. The Miniboz will need a good brushing of its coat once a week or once every two weeks, depending on the length of its coat and the parent breed it most resembles. A Miniboz who may inherit a coat more similar to a Miniature Schnauzer will require a little more grooming and trimming to prevent his coat from becoming disheveled. However, hybrids that tend to inherit a dwarf Schnauzer coat are more likely to be hypoallergenic. A Miniboz that adopts a short coat like the Boston Terrier may not be hypoallergenic, but will certainly require much less care. Because this hybrid has semi-flexible ears, it's important to always check for signs of wax build-up. Excess earwax and debris in the ears should be cleaned with an appropriate pet ear cleaner to prevent bacterial and yeast infections. As with all dogs, it's essential that owners brush their dog's teeth weekly to prevent tartar and plaque build-up. Letting tartar build up can lead to serious gum infections, tooth decay and even various long-term metabolic diseases. |
